WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?
INTRODUCTION:
Jesus in Luke 9:18-22 asked
his disciples this question.
Who do you say I am?
In other words,
What is my identity?
There are many Attributes or
Identities of Christ, but I will present you with only ten(10) identities of
Jesus to the world with bible references, while you ask yourself who Jesus
really is in your life.
THE AIM:
The aim of this splash is to
awaken you to the knowledge of the one you call your Saviour and make you
develop the intuitive reasoning of the one you worship (as instructed in Col.
3:10) at all time.
What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?
"All things bright and
beautiful, all things fine and wonderful
The Lord God made them all,
this quote we know all".
"For He has created all
things and for His pleasure He made all things"
One thing makes me sad, a
particular question we have not answered
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
The same question the
disciples of Christ except Peter couldn't answer, still christ disciples of our
generation are yet to answer.

1. Ps 2:8, Phl 2:6-11, Hebr
1:6 and Col 1:15 identifies Him as the HEIR of all things.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
2. Col 1:16, John 1:3 and Rom
11:36 identifies Him as the CREATOR of all things.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
3. Col 1:17 identifies Him as
Sustainer and Controller of all things by the words of his power: just by
speaking, he governs all things.

Who do you say I am?"
4. Because of His ability to
live forever; Hebr 5:6 and Hebr 7:24-25 identifies Him as God's final and
permanent prophet.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
5. Hebr 1:2 identifies Him as
God's final word.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
6. John 14:9, Luke 10:22 and
Col 1:15-23 identifies Him as the Exact representative of the Father's nature:
meaning you can only see the Father through Him. According to 1 Tim 6:16: God's
dwelling is unapproachable.

7. Hebr 1:3 and Col 2:9
identifies Him as the radiance of the Father's glory.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
8. Phil 2:5-11 and John
6:38-39 identifies Him as God's priest who made purification for our sins.
"What is my identity?
Who do you say I am?"
9. Hebr 7:25, Hebr 8:6, Rom
8:34 and 1 Tim 2:5 identifies Him as the Great intercessor and great mediator.

Who do you say I am?"
10. Hebr 1:3-13 and Hebr 8:1
identifies Him as God's King who is enthroned at the right of the Majesty on
high.

Who do you say I am?"
Now;
Rom 8:15-18 and Gal 4:4-7 as
given us confidence of ruling with Christ.
But;
Eph 1:18 says you can only
share in Christ inheritance if you know Him.
He is asking you today:
"What is my identity?
What is my position in your
Life?
First or Last?
A priority of just a wish?
Who do you say I am?"
